Rossi debuts Gyroscopic onboard camera

anybody who watched the Laguna Seca MotoGP race today (or last week at Sachsenring) got to check out the views from the new gryo-cam. basically, the view stays [mostly] horizontal while the bike changes lean angle. i think it's way cooler than the standard, fixed cam and is alot more dynamic to watch. especially with quick, side-to-side transitions. i dig it.

Poor guy still looks like the leg is bothering him, what a trooper!

That camera looks awesome as it gives you a clear perspective of just how insanely leaned over the rider is.

Same here, that transition was so quick and the angle so extreme because of the banking, it looked like Rossi just tossed the bike out from under him. Super cool to watch, now nobody say a fucking thing about the race since I only remembered to record qualifying.

That's a great camera for a GP bike it really lets you see just what kind of lean angle they can achieve. These last two races show just how good Rossi is.

it was sick to watch, my favorite shots were the rear facing ones, where the bike's tail section was at the right side of the screen and the edge of the rear wheel was on the left side, looked like the bike was practically laying down on its side. amazing.
