Westside Bike Night??? - Page 13

It's WESTSIDE BIKE NIGHT/RIDE!!! Who's showing up? Any suggestions for the ride? It was cool to ride through Westwood/Beverly Hills/Miracle Mile, but might be better to ride to new spot and chill for sec! Then go to next destination and chill once again? But don't know? What do you guys think?

Kaitlynn and I should be there. We're still down to ride to the canyons if everyone else is down. If not, then maybe we head south, roll through Abbot Kiney, along the coast, etc?

Carly (my wife) had a blast 2up with me, Clarrel and Diablo650 in the malibu canyons on Sunday, so there's a good chance she'll join me for bike night....

...i am down for whatever route we do, but my only complaint about last week was catching 500 red lights riding through the surface streets. sitting at those stoplights got boring after a while. I vote for stretches of road without too many stop lights, so i say any surface street east of the 405 and north of the 10 is out.... but majority vote rules!

EDIT: Does anyone object to any rides outside of "the West Side"? We get a bunch of riders coming in from the north and east, would anyone dare go over the hills and do a loop in the valley or something?

oh and i like Clarrel's idea of riding for a bit, pulling over for a break, riding again then stopping again etc...

I did a night-time jaunt thru Rancho Palos Verdes last week. It wasnt bad at all.

Well, if all the Playboy Mansion tours are gone what possible reason could there be for anyone to show up?

Stunt shows and eats and you can walk around the store and drool over machines and equipment....Something to consider...

Actually Kaitlynn had a good idea for a ride...some red lights along the way but it would mix it up a little.

Here is the suggestion:
- Take Santa Monica to Laurel Cyn or one of the other roads up into the hills. We could either take that all the way over the hill OR take Mullhuland east to where it meets up with Cahuenga.
- From there we head down Ventura Blvd into Studio City and Stop at this strip mall at Ventura and Laurel (there's a great frozen yogurt shop, Coffee Bean, etc that close at 11)
- Then we can continue down Ventura towards the 405 and everyone heads home?

+1, i like this idea! i think nice and slow on Mulholland shouldn't be a problem.

great ride the other night, delicious yogurt, and the ride down mulholland was great too, maybe we actually do it again next tuesday?
