Gelaxing on the SV_What's your tune list for a ride?

Here’s a partial list of songs I can gel with on the way up ACH or equivalent roads[warning subject to modification].

Mr. Blue Sky_ELO/1978…breaking out of the clouds above La Canada
Kids_MGMT/2008…the playfulness starts
Everyday is Like Sunday_Morrissey/The Smiths…time for weekend ridin’
Road to Nowhere_Talking Heads/1985….where does this road go?
Gentle on my Mind_GlenCampbell/1968…smelling the pine trees
In the Summertime_Mongo Jerry/1970….temps are warm, things are good
What a Wonderful World_Louis Armstrong/1968…self explanatory
Get the Balance Right_Depeche Mode/1983…better lean in the twisties
Mouthful of Diamonds_Phantagram/2009…I just like it a lot!
Hiroshima_Midnight Sun/2007…its over, waiting for the next ride. . .

What’s your list?

Why distract yourself from the task at hand?

I'm a firm believer that listening to music while riding, especially canyon carving, is stupid.

I'll put on ear plugs for the long slab rides to LA from SD. Only because I've read so much about helmet noise and such.

Depends on my moods but its can be all over the place. I'd found that once i start a canyon.. the music fades... and i'm too busy concentrating on the road... but i still listen to it. Mostly rock.. some country.

30seconds to mars - hurricaNE
Deftones - DeathBlow
Bush - Comedown
Brand New - You Stole
Tool -Wings for Marie part II
Marilyn Manson - If i was your vampire
Nickelback - Saturdayafternoon

Those are justa few.

When riding canyons, I don't listen to music, I really feel that I need to focus on the road more, even though I might have been there before many times.

But when commuting on the streets I had done it and actually enjoyed it. Shuffle works for me.

The one time i rode while listening to music, I crashed . Don't know if it would be a recurring condition, but haven't gotten up the nerve to try again.

This tune works for me: Twisties or freediving

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSqpHV61rKo

Nice video-but the song is a gelaxing one (I think its Jesse Chong "The Name")

. . .Just leaning thru the turns on ACH or GMR (after they spend months clearing the storm debris!!) and listening

. . now just need to learn to freedive so I can get some free meals!
guess I could eat some too
